Kayla Gets Legal / Mama & Coen Finally Get Out

On Friday, 1/26/07, we were awarded Legal Custodianship of Kayla in the State of Texas. This will (hopefully) pave the way to getting her a Social Security Number, Drivers License, and right to work. If nothing else, she's now on my work health insurance, which makes a WORLD of difference.

On Saturday, the temperature finally pulled out of the recent 30s/40s trend and "soared" into the upper 60s. Dad & Mom were finally able to take Coen for his inaugural walk through the neighborhood. He seemed very content to sleep the entire time. Shocking.

In other not so incredibly exciting news, I spent a couple of days in Tulsa OK for work and Tauni & Coen had their first date on Wednesday night as Tauni met an old friend in town for work. Apparently they enjoyed some good steaks together in downtown Austin. I'm jealous. As seems to be the case, Coen was a trooper yet again in his carseat.

As we speak, the McFerson grandparents and Coen's Aunt Janna are rapidly making their way across West Texas. Sisters Jennifer and Alison are flying in soon. We look forward to having more family in town to enjoy our little man and join in his blessing this coming Sunday.
